Positioned in Veset, France, the Maison Simon residence was a joint project amongst Mathiew Noel and Elodie Bonnefous Architectes. Among the two of them they made a house with a easy silhouette to blend unassumingly into the countryside. Clad in clear vertical siding and a deep charcoal metal roof, the residence functions a mainly private facade with just enough window glazings to enable the panoramic countryside to seep visually into the inner zones.
From a distance, the residence takes on the appearance of a lengthy standing farm constructing settled comfortably into the surrounding pastures rather then a new and contemporary house.
The residence is closely situated to the original constructing of the site and the two share a related shape, despite the fact that the new residence is decidedly less standard in detail. Even so, the harmony amongst the two opposing designs is full.
Even the visible steeple of the extended standing church in the nearby town does not look out of character with the new Maison Simon residence.

On the private side of the property, a deck runs the length of the constructing.
