Canadian Cottage Kitchen Style

How lovely is this open strategy kitchen?! I’ve never been a fan of dark flooring but this kitchen looks fabulous. The plates on the wall are Cath Kidston so clearly I was sold.

This is such a beautiful kitchen! I am really jealous of the kitchen island and I’m extremely interested in that flower scenario beside the sink. Is that a sponge? This kitchen with it’s beautiful flowers, plates on the wall and bright sunshine beaming via the windows just made me feel of drinking coffee in the morning at this lovely island!

ooh! Painted stools to match the beautiful kitchen <3 I am rather enamoured with these lovely wicker style baskets, which I think are actually woven plastic. Can any individual inform just by hunting? My eyesight is completely awful. I just made an audible gasp.. is that a kitchen help?!

I see that Cath Kidston apron in the corner! The range cooker appears fantastic.

CK plates! I am crazy about large Belfast sinks!I also genuinely like that red blind, which I consider could even be in a lovely floral pattern (just by judging the rest of the beautiful patterns in the kitchen and the adore and appreciation for Cath Kidston ^_^)

This massive wall cabinet is excellent and I totally really like the colour and texture from the pallet style wooden background, the cause I really like the background of this cabinet is the colour. Truly genuinely adore it. It’s like a mint green, which I am crazy about so when I saw this I had to share with my fabulous readers!

If you look in the corner, where the Cath Kidston apron is, and a fabulous teal colander, you can see a rather lovely cottage kitchen style shelf unit which I think is a beautiful touch! This beautiful cottage kitchen was designed for the Daly household in Canada by Merely Gorgeous Kitchens

In My Pastel Cottage Home

greengate blanket In My Pastel Cottage Home hand made stuff

I realised that it’s been a extremely lengthy time because I posted some photos from my house, which is full of fairly pastels.. I wasn’t sure about the way in which I could describe my home so I went for “pretty cottage style” but maybe it should be “Claire style” or just pastels huh? Anyway! Look at that greengate quilt! I won it on ebay (bidding) for about 1/3 of the cost and I Enjoy it!

greengate quilt close up In My Pastel Cottage Home hand made stuff

This is a close up of the beautiful embroidered emblem. I truly enjoy the pink, blue and grey colour scheme of the blanket. That is one thing I by no means thought I would say. Honestly, if it was complete value I wouldn’t have bought it. The value is possibly the only purpose I did buy it. That’s a lie! The paisley print and the reality that it’s pink and greengate. Ok, so there were lots of reasons.

I have a lot of greengate products in my house, I’ve been collecting anytime I can afford one thing! And always add some products to my want lists for birthday’s or christmas. I’m always getting fabulous gifts for my little cottage home. This was a tiny peek of my ‘workspace’ in the lounge from last month when I was organising blog posts ^_^

Appear at my fabulous washi tape collection! I enjoy this tiny tiered cake stand that I received as a gift. It’s helpful for small bits and bobs that somehow end up surrounding me anytime I operate.

Nation Cottage Furnishings Favourites

white dining room table and chairs from timzowood Nation Cottage Furnishings Favourites hand made stuff I have just been immersing myself in nation cottage style recently and falling in love with furniture types that I had never ever seen ahead of! When I was looking I found a shop in the Netherlands that creates these fabulous furnishings pieces and I could not think my eyes.
small painted medicine cabinet for the bathroom Nation Cottage Furnishings Favourites hand made stuff

We have a quite tiny bathroom and a super modest cabinet like this would fit completely. It’;s the only small cabinet I’;ve ever seen that would be suitable for that area. Darnit! This shop becoming in the Netherlands is a nightmare for me. I was window purchasing whilst you wouldn’;t think. I like to ‘add’; things to my buying cart. I’;ve spent a pretend furnishings in a lot of online shops!

side table or console table from timzowood Nation Cottage Furnishings Favourites hand made stuff If this side table piece of furniture was a little narrower not as deep (I don’;t know if I’;m making sense), yes, not as deep, it would be excellent for my dining space! I would stroll to the Netherlands to get it. I enjoy the top of table with it’;s little divided storage unit. I wonder if this kind of issue is offered separately! I shall do much more analysis! I also enjoy that big pink cushion! I wonder what size this little table is! It should be tiny.

small bedside table with inner shelf Nation Cottage Furnishings Favourites hand made stuff Are not those flowers beautiful?! What are the red coloured ones? Anemones? This looks like a bedside cabinet that would suit my space. I already have a lovely shabby style cabinet that I got for cost-free (by comprehensive accident!)

shelf with storage hooks Nation Cottage Furnishings Favourites hand made stuff I had been searching for someplace to buy shelves like this, maybe a year ago, and I couldn’;t uncover anyplace locally, I could not locate anywhere on the internet that didn’;t price a total fortune so I ended up getting an ikea double shelf unit for my kitchen and even even though I enjoy them, I do have romantic dreams about this type of shelving :p

romantic living shelf Nation Cottage Furnishings Favourites hand made stuff Actually, I choose this shelf! With a tiny space for a trivet. Honestly, these little shelves are absolutely lovely but my ikea shelving is really, very sensible, as effectively as decorative.

pink painted display cabinet Nation Cottage Furnishings Favourites hand made stuff What do you get in touch with a tiny cabinet like this? I’;ve seen them on some German blogs and I genuinely want a single for my property! I want to search for a cabinet like this in the UK and don’;t know where to begin that does not involve contemporary shop displays!

pastel painted wooden stools Nation Cottage Furnishings Favourites hand made stuff I adore these stools! All my favourite colours! Each and every final one particular! apart from the grey… but the blue and green is excellent!

painted white drop leaf table Nation Cottage Furnishings Favourites hand made stuff I’;ve usually thought that drop leaf tables were extremely fancy! They’;re a excellent space saver.

shabby vintage linen cabinet Nation Cottage Furnishings Favourites hand made stuff

I’;m a huge fan of linen cabinets and I adore this one particular! I have a cupboard that wants tidying. This beautiful cabinet has put me to fantastic shame! The web site Timzowood has so much fabulous nation cottage furnishings, and a lot more designs, you will be there for fairly a whilst dreaming about a fabulous new home complete of these lovely items! It really is a shame they are not closer to me.

My Perspective On Some Things

I was reading recently on the internet, the only place we can get news since we don't have or want a television. I rarely if ever have the radio on either, even in the car. I usually listen to my CDs of old music from the 60s, 70s and 80s. I try to live a quiet life centered around God. Trust me, I need a lot of work! But I live in the world and try not to be of the world. But this article just floored me.

A "civilized" European country is seeking euthanasia for minors and Alzheimers patients. This is what they are seeking: the law to be extended to minors if they are capable of discernment or affected by an incurable illness or suffering that we cannot alleviate. What child could make this decision?! Have we sunk this low that we would kill our children and older citizens? I'm astounded. I know of a professor at a leading university that advocates killing of children who are Downs even after they're born and have reached a certain age. What a sad commentary. I also shouldn't want to be standing near him when our Savior comes. I'll sometimes find myself weeping for what goes on in the world. That's why I try to not read much about it, keeping my life centered on good instead of evil.

One of the little girls killed in Connecticut recently was a member of our Church. Her bishop in her ward is the son of a member of my ward. He—our ward member— called my hubby, a leader in our ward, to say he couldn't help with putting together our yearly widows and single ladies Christmas baskets because the little girl's family wants her buried in Utah and their bishop to travel with them to conduct the service. So the bishop called his dad (our ward member) and asked him to come help him get through the service. I imagine it's going to be a very tough day for everyone. Life is so fragile sometimes and we've cried over the tragedy but we have an eternal perspective that we'll all be reunited once again. Sometimes, that's all that can keep some of us going. Me? I'll just let the Lord decide when it's my time to leave this world. I wouldn't have it any other way.

I've heard people ask the eternal question: How come there's so much evil in the world? Well, we believe the Lord allows it to test us. How would we know what was good if we don't know evil? They're complete opposites! Now, don't get me wrong; I hate evil. But it's what we do in life that defines us, not the clothes, the cars, the big homes or celebrity. It's how we live our lives and the good we do. Again, don't get me wrong; I have a lot of repenting and work to do, but I'm trying my best to be a merciful, good person. It's my daily trial in life Trust. me. ;-)

This is a hotel. Wouldn't you love to stay there?

Sweet and cozy kitchen.

A lovely large bedroom with old wood floors and the most gorgeous lace spread I've ever seen.

I have enough lamps in this house but if I could have one more, it would be like this one. Maybe I'll redo a shade on one. Hmmmm......

This has given me an idea. You can make little crowns with lace by using decoupage and paint and fit them to your kids' heads or add a piece of elastic at the back. I think I'll do one for Caroline and Juliette.

How would you like to have an exquisite bedroom such as this one? Fantastic!

Another quaint cottage with a turret.

This hydrangea is one hundred years old. My hubby saw this and said, "WOW!!"

Cute container for when clipping your roses.

Gorgeous decorated bottles with their very own holder.

Beautiful rose soaps.

Beautiful way to store your laces. I wish I had saved my old spools from laces now.

Talk about isolated! Your own house on your own teensy, tiny island. Going out for a loaf of bread or quart of milk takes on a whole new meaning. ;-)

These have the look of MacKenzie-Childs. I doubt they are as there are so many duplications being made now of their items, but these are still gorgeous.

A Mary Francis designer handbag. It's my favorite one and I'd buy it if it didn't cost almost $300. I think it's absolutely, gorgeously stunning!!!

A Beautiful Living Room/Dining Room

I told you there would be more, and this isn't even the last of it. She manages to do so much with so little it is truly amazing to me. She even dazzles with fabric wall art.

And look at the lovely valentine roses wreath this chick made. Just gorgeous.

This isn't her house but a friend's. Wouldn't you love to have a living and dining area like this one? Oooooh, how gorgeous and divine, just like a romantic cottage.

Another cuff I made and practicing close ups with my Canon. ;-)

Random Thoughts:

I heard a story recently about a little boy who was practicing for a baseball team. He was throwing the ball up into the air to try and hit it. He did this 3 times and finally grew frustrated, but then a thought came into his head and he lit up and said, "Wow. What a pitcher!" Life is what we make of it.

Love Bunny can't stand not answering the phone.Recently, we've been getting a lot of phone calls from "toll-free", which usually means they're begging for money or trying to "give" us a credit card. Since he's retired now he's home more. I don't answer those kinds of calls. I told him to go ahead if he wanted to after a couple of times of seeing his frustration. I don't think he believed me when I said they're solicitors. He did and it took him 5 minutes to tell them no. I can say no in 2 seconds. I think he's cured. He doesn't answer them anymore.

God has a sense of humor and because the world is wondrous he expects us to find reasons to smile even on the darkest days. That's why I'm so upbeat and a happy chick!

If you have a credit card phone number stored on your cell phone, you need to get a life. Seriously.
